The Historic Highway 99 Centennial Tour: Fundraiser for RFKC
Old Highway 99 Ride for Royal Family Kids Camp on Saturday June 2, 2012
On Saturday, June the 2nd in 2012, the Calvary Temple Motorcycle Fellowship Tour of California's Historic Old Highway 99 will depart from Bay Point, California. The Old 99 Tour is an all-brands-invited motorcycle ride that runs for ONE DAY, which will ride the Old 99 East and Old 99 West roads, in the Central Valley. The tour will leave in the morning at 8AM from Calvary Temple Church, on 4725 Evora Road in Bay Point.
The Ride for RFKC will celebrate the Centennial of Old Highway 99 (1912-2012), and will also be a fundraiser for Royal Family Kids Camp. The Ride Fees collected, will go to help send neglected and abused children in Contra Costa County to camp. This fundraising event will allow more needy and deserving childen to attend Royal Family Kids Camp for a week of fun times, exciting activities, and hearing the Gospel.
One-Day Ride of Old 99 Departs on Saturday, June the 2nd from Calvary Temple Church in Bay Point, California at 8AM. Ride with the Calvary Temple Motorcycle Fellowship for Historic Old Highway 99's 100-Year Anniversary Tour!
The Old Highway 99 Tour will depart from Bay Point and then head out on Highway 4 East, then highways 160 and 12 through Rio Vista, and then 113 North to Dixon. From there, we will ride on I-80 East out to West Sacramento, where Old 99 begins for us. Going through Sacramento, we will ride to Roseville, then head north on Old 99 East, passing through Lincoln, Yuba City, and Chico, up to Red Bluff.
At Red Bluff the Tour will turn south, riding on Old 99 West. We will ride down through the towns of the Central Valley on Old 99: Corning, Orland, Willows, Maxwell, Williams, and finally Woodland. We will be returning to Bay Point the same way we left, through highways 113, 12, 160, and then Highway 4 West to Bay Point.
Gas and rest stops will be along the way. There will be a lunch at around 12 Noon at a burger stand, and a RFKC Riders' Dinner in Woodland. We will be home before or by sunset. You will need sunscreen, a camera, a California map, riding gear for warm weather, a cell phone, money for gas, food, and incidentals, your registered, licensed and insured bike in good working condition, and a Ride Waiver/Release Form for the Tour (will be provided).
